Making God Laugh

Yesterday In reading a blog,  I read "If you want to make God laugh, tell Him about your plans."

I asked a co-worker what came to mind when I shared it with him.  His response was along the lines of making our own plans and being independent of the Lord.  My initial thought was that so many times my plans are too small with very little God-size vision.

What thoughts come to your mind when you read, "If you want to make God laugh, tell him about your plans?"

Jesus' resurrection and 2nd coming

Phil 3: 20,21 ESV

"But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself"

Jesus, I was think this morning about the Resurrection that provides power and the 2nd coming that provides accountability. Two enormous aspects of You that should daily and constantly influence the way I think, live, minister and pray

You died to provide forgiveness and a new life. You rose to provide power over sin, you are coming again the thought of which inspires and motivates and gives me perspective and good accountability. Luther's idea of living as if Jesus died yesterday, rose today and is coming again tomorrow.
